Robert MacManus of Monarch

1 Which book are you currently reading?
I'm currently reading a book called The Promoters, it's a book about the history of Australian touring and well, promoters basically.
I really like reading biography's and things of a historical nature. Up next is Spray Paint the Walls, the story of Black Flag!

2. Do you smoke?
I used to smoke a lot of pot, for many years. In Australia we mix marijuana with tobacco, so in a sense I guess I did smoke, though I've since quite.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
I tour manage bands for a living and I got angry recently on Dead Meadows Australian tour because the rental car company stuffed up my booking and send my van to a different location, we had to wait around at the airport tired and frustrated for 45 minutes for them to retrieve it. That kind of sucked.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
On tour recently with Dead Meadow, hands down the funniest and most enjoyable band to tour. Steve Kille their bassist is a bloody comedian.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its the end?
Back to the Future, all three films. Best trilogy ever! Star Wars comes in at a close second, then Indiana Jones. Three killer trilogy's.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Michael J Fox in Back to the Future, best trilogy ever! I want to go back to the 60's and see the Velvet Underground, John Coltrane Sun Ra and Syd Barett era Pink Floyd, I also want to buy a few vintage Mosrites Ventures, Fender Jazzmasters and a couple of Orange OR120 amps.

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
Law and Order hands down, they have Ice T......

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
Cara Beltrame, she's my spiritual sugar moma. Belinda Butcher from My Bloody Valentine comes in at a close second. After those two there's a few others, but yea, best keeping that shit a secret.

9. What's the best moment of your day?
The period in the morning after you have a nice hot shower and you're making your first cup of coffee of the day, damn near paradise!
I also like the period of the day when you check Ebay and find out you won that record you placed a bid on the night before.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
Sabbat Noir by Monarch, that record and piece of music is a major highlight in my musical career.

George Chen of Kit

1. Which book are you currently reading?
I finally got a copy of Oran Canfield's memoir "Long Past Stopping." I'm usually reading 3 at a time very slowly, so also the "Difference Engine" and I procrastinate on those by reading comics.

2. Do you smoke?
Never have.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
A few days ago. I went on tour in April and May and had a subletter who would not return calls or pay me for about a month after getting back. Finally got her to start paying me in installments. Now she's claiming she slipped the final $200 in cash under my door which I never received and most likely never happened. I'm usually pretty trusting, so this is particularly irksome. So I found out she is going out of town and is now trying to sublet her place! Scheming some ideas for revenge.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
This has never happened as far as I'm aware. My humor is dry.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see untill its the end?
Don't think I've ever walked out of the theater, but there are many movies I've fallen asleep during. My fault mostly, not theirs.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Voice over for Garfield.

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
I have probably seen SVU the most, but it's not really my favorite. I don't want to badmouth Ice-T cause he Googles himself a lot.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
I have a few. Aubrey Plaza.

9. What's the best moment of your day?
Walking somewhere in the sun.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
I'm pretty stoked on the last song on "Invocation", it's called "Broke Heart." It feels like a new direction for our music.

George Chen plays in KIT, who just released their album Invocation in Europe on Upset The Rhythm. It comes out Nov 9th in the US.

Xavier Dubois of Ultraphallus / Y.E.R.M.O.

1. Which book are you currently reading?
I'm now finishing one hell of a book: Roberto Bolaño "The Savage Detectives". Next are Thomas Pynchon "Inherent Vice", Rodrigo Fresán "Mantra", Derek Bailey " Improvisation" and Kathy Acker "Blood and guts in high school". ONE book at a time, please.

2. Do you smoke?
No.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
A few days ago, when I realised that my Beefeater24 bottle was empty. When I was listening to death-metal in my living room and my girlfriend turned down the volume. When I'm in the classroom teaching then realising that most students are busy downloading shit on their computers and/or laughing at me. When I watch the news about the political situation here in Belgium. When I have to remove my shoes at the airport. When I have to mow the yard. But most of time I'm a peacefully nice boy. Words!

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
I laugh quite often and cry from time to time. Usually the two are separated.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
I usually watch the entire thing. But I can give you a few names: "Requiem for a dream"...what a awful crap! "Slumdog Millionaire" really disgusted me. Never watched a movie so full of cliché, vulgar, superficial. I think it's one of the most overly simplistic movie I ever saw. "Into the wild" was quite irritating. Thanx God, the boy died at the end. Oh! and those Eddie Vedder songs through the all movie...Damn!

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Fonzy. Happy days. He's real! The bad cop played by Harvey Keitel in "Bad Lieutenant".

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
What the fuck?!?

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
Man, that's a hard one. My girlfriend is probably reading. I can't tell you everything. "Nothing is as boring as the truth". Find who said that!

9. What's the best moment of your day?
Anything that involve sexual activity, good book, black coffee, discovering new sounds, riffs, "new way to pay old debts", a good movie with my girlfriend asleep on my shoulder, listening to Carcass while driving ...
And, of course, a delicious Gin Tonic. Forget Gordon Gin. Put the price and get Beefeater24.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
The next one. Not composed yet.
Well, ok: "Womanizer" on "The Clever" and "The Red Print" on forthcoming album "Sowberry Hagan"...a 9 minutes long track with Eugene Robinson. Soon on RIOT SEASON!

Born in Liège, Belgium, guitar player Xavier Dubois is a member of Ultraphallus and one half of electroacoustic project Y.E.R.M.O. He's also a solo performer, focusing on improvisation and country. Y.E.R.M.O. took part at the last contemporary arts exhibition in Venice last year, taking care of the "Collision Zone" sound installation. Ultraphallus is going to release its third album "Sowberry Hagan" very soon on UK label RIOT SEASON.

Jeff Stieber of Hull

1. Which book are you currently reading?
The Forever War by Dexter Filkins. He is a journalist who simply recalls a bunch of events while in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, etc during the Iraq war and the “War On Terror”. Full of graphic shit about what happens over there, how everyone including Americans can't be trusted and how we fucked everything up. Or at least I see it as how we fucked everything up.

2. Do you smoke?
I smoke yes, even weed on occasion. Most everyone else in the band smokes weed constantly or close to it except Nick. Do you smoke? Get off my back.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
I don't get angry very often at all but I did become quite agitated a while ago when I went to hop onto my bike to go wherever the shit I was going to find that someone had beat the shit out of my front wheel. The rim was bent to shit and was completely unrideable. Parking your bike outside a high school in Brooklyn is always a bad idea so it was partially my fault but those mother fuckers better learn some god damn manners. Shit heads. I've moved since.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
Men don't cry! Men drink beer, and when the beer runs out we cry, beer. Circle of life

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
I'm not sure I know what this question is asking so I will try to answer as best I can. So umm when I was maybe 5 I had a really bad ear infections which I used to get often. My mom had scored a bootleg copy of ET on VHS! When I woke up screaming and crying, mainly because I ran out of beer, my mom threw on that movie. It was staticy and you could barely see anything. I screamed through the entire movie, until the very end when my brain stopped feeling like it was exploding. That's my story. I guess the question has been answered?

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Not sure if this question is referring to the previous or just a character in general. If the previous ET obviously. You can fly and do weird shit, although it might have been a bit hard getting laid but I bet that glowing finger can do wonders for the ladies. If any movie character the obvious answer is “The Dude” but to be different I would say Baron Munchausen from The Adventures of Baron Muchausen. He rides a canon ball, goes to hell, visits the moon, gets eaten by a fish and survives it all. Terry Gilliam is a genius!

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
I can't say I know either of these shows but after asking someone “Which one of these shows has more fucked up shit?” the answer was Special Victims Unit so I'll go with that.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
Most chics in NYC that love to wear as little as possible during the hot summer months. I also have a thing for MILFS...but who doesn't

9. What's the best moment of your day?
Riding my bike over the Williamsburg bridge from work. I know I'm so close to Brooklyn and don't have to go back into the shit of Manhattan again for the rest of the day. Fuck Manhattan!

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
Everyone loves Viking Funeral and it is damn fun to play. Deliverance off Sole Lord is also damn fun to play, got some fun drum parts. But the new shit we are writing is so far the best. The new song we have which is currently nameless has some awesome brutal parts that I can just beat the shit out of the drums and some awesome guitar parts that definitely give me mid-drum-strike boners. Glad I get to sit down when we play. Boners

Buzz Osborne of Melvins

1. Which book are you currently reading?
I'm reading quite a few actually. I usually have 10 or 11 going at any given time. Here are a few of them:
"The Abolition of Man" C.S. Lewis
"The Tempest" William Shakespeare
"I Hate Your Guts" Jim Norton
"Winter's Bone" Daniel Woodell
"Role Models" John Waters
"Down and Out in Paris" George Orwell
"The Mysterious Montague" Leigh Montville "Seven Pillars of Wisdom" T. E. Lawrence "The Man Who Would Be King" Rudyard Kipling

2. Do you smoke?
Not at all.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
I got all hacked off at some airport security line jumping old bitch when we were on our way here. Just walked right in front of me. I LOUDLY protested that there was in fact a LINE that we were all waiting in and she just stared at me like I was crazy. Which I am...

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
God who knows. I find all sorts of thing funny. We went to the Minnesota State Fair recently and there were some large hogs that had gotten loose in the swine house and they were running wild. It was funny AND dangerous. Always a winning combo.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
Avatar... I did actually make it through the whole thing but I wouldn't EVER sit through it again. No fucking way. James Cameron should have his fucking head examined. For a movie that blew what was it, 200 million to make, it seemed like they spent about a buck seventy five for writers. What a pant load... A pant load of heavy handed, mega PC, teenage political horse shit. By the half way point I would have helped the miners destroy the "injins" magic tree myself! Don't get me wrong, I LIKE science fiction movies but I couldn't stand this. I heard it described as every preachy, stomach turning, "eco" bumper sticker you've ever seen made into a movie. Knowing how the stupid, self serving "powers that be" think, James Cameron will probably end up getting a Nobel Prize for this fucking dog shit... Which was probably his point to begin with.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Fred C. Dobbs in "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre." This is by far the best movie ever made. I could watch it over and over and I have. At least 80 to 100 times easy. I can pretty much recite the whole script at this point.

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
Don't watch TV. Haven't for well over 20 years. Haven't missed it either.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
Elvira. Or maybe Kim Novak in "Bell Book and Candle." Yeah, let's say Kim Novak as a groovy, beat-nick witch... Jesus fucking christ it just doesn't get ANY BETTER!

9. What's the best moment of your day?
First cup of coffee the first thing in the morning. Blast off!

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
Billy Fish. Billy Fish or maybe Black Bock...

Sarah Jezebel Deva of Angtoria

1. Which book are you currently reading?
I am reading two. One on Vietnam and the other on Jack The Ripper. But its taking me ages to get through them because I am easily distracted. Small brain I think.

2. Do you smoke?
Sometimes yes, but if my fiancee reads this, then no I don't! To be honest, my dad just got diagnosed with Emphysema, which was caused by his smoking, so this should kinda be my wake up call.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
A few days ago when I found out about that stupid bitch that threw the puppies in the river to kill them. She is lucky I cant get to her. One of her mates filmed it and then posted in Facebook. It made the headlines. People are disgusting.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
Oh it was a while a go but one that springs to mind is the scene in the film Step Brothers where the bunk beds collapse. That got me. Was in tears.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
This film called Covenant. No story line and had to switch it off after 45 mins. I wasted 45 mins of my life trying to work out what was going on, if anything. Twillight is also close... biggest pile of crappy toss vampire puke ever! Ha ha... sorry... :(

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Poison Ivy in Batman :)

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
None of them. NCIS and CSI :)

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
I don't. Unless my cat counts.... ;)

9. What's the best moment of your day?
My and my fiancee arriving at this hotel (We went away for a few days to Bath. A Roman town in the UK) without killing each other cos we got really lost. The hotel is in the country and its just peace and quiet... Its lovely.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
Oh dear. I am very critical ... I have to be otherwise I would never improve. Er...... I am gonna have to say Daddy's Not Coming Home because I wrote it when I was 12 and its about a child being raised in a violent home. I wrote it from a childs point of view and I am proud of it!

Borat in the theater.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
I walked out on Anchorman but love it now. For some reason, I can't stay awake for all of Blade Runner but that has more to do with always starting it at 1am than anything else.

Gotta go SVU.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
Difficult to say. "Quietly, Undramatically" is the most dynamic, "Hatred is Our Heart" is possibly the best combination of hooks and aggression, "Solitude" is written very well... You pick one.

Michael Palmieri

1. Which book are you currently reading?
Walker Percy's "Love in the Ruins" and Malcolm Gladwell's "Blink". I like flip-flop reading fiction and non-fiction in parallel.

2. Do you smoke?
I'm too much of a romantic not to smoke every once in a while. Plus I think it's one of the most beautiful things in the world to film people smoking in slowmotion. I'll chalk it up to watching too many Wong Kar Wai films in my formative years.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
The last time I was editing a film.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
South Park.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
Never. I think Altman said he learned a lot about good filmmaking from watching bad movies. I kind of agree.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
The Sicilian cotton gin owner Silva Vacarro in Elia Kazan's "Baby Doll", originally played by Eli Wallach and written by Tennessee Williams. There's no better seduction in all of cinema.

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
Never seen em.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
It may sound obvious, but it's true: I'll always have a crush on my boyfriend Donal.

9. What's the best moment of your day?
8AM Coffee on my porch swing each morning I get to be in Portland.

10. What film of yours do you think is your best?
"October Country", because I got to collaborate with Donal on it.

Michael Palmieri is a director, producer, cinematographer and editor whose most recent collaboration with Donal Mosher, "October Country", won the US grand jury prize at Silverdocs in 2009. The film went on to win 7 international festival awards and the Cinema Eye Honors for Best First Feature and Best Musical Score and was nominated for an Independent Spirit award for best documentary of the year. His film work includes other notable collaborations with artists as varied as the political cartoonist and journalist Garry Trudeau of Doonesbury, the cinematographer and filmmaker Christopher Doyle, the fine artist Tauba Auerbach, and the Academy award winning documentary filmmakers Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. He began his career directing music videos for musical artists such as Beck, The Strokes, The New Pornographers, Belle and Sebastian, and many others. An adjunct professor of film and video at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, he now resides in Portland, Oregon.

Kevin Estrada

1. Which book are you currently reading?
Ozzy Osbourne’s autobiography, “I Am Ozzy.” I find myself quietly chuckling every so often... great book!

2. Do you smoke?
No... I can’t stand the stuff... besides, I have Asthma.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
Honestly, I can't remember, so it must have not been very important.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
I was on a vacation cruise watching a Vegas-type entertainment show. The MC pulled a woman from the audience and as she was running up the stairs to the stage, she ripped the hand-rail off the wall and flew in the air, bouncing and bouncing as she hit the ground. It was the funniest thing I had ever seen, I am laughing right now as I type this!

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
District 9. I hated it. It is the only movie I have ever walked out on in a theatre.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
I’m much more comfortable behind the camera, rather than in front of the camera. But, I wouldn’t mind doing something silly on a Saturday Night Live skit or an episode of The King Of Queens.

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
I don’t watch any of those shows... I’m more of a “Get Smart” kind of guy.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
My wife... still crazy about her!!

9. What's the best moment of your day?
Saying good morning to my kids when they wake up with their bed-heads!

10. What picture of yours do you think is your best?
I am very proud of two photos – My shot of Kurt Cobain dressed as Jesus; and a black and white shot of Johnny Cash recording very late at night in the studio with Rick Rubin and Tom Petty.

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be a rock photographer. All my friends wanted to be Eddie Van Halen, but I wanted to be the guy who was shooting Eddie Van Halen. I seemed to always want to collect things, to document things – to somehow hold on to that moment and make it last forever. From old gig flyers to concert jerseys to programs and more. For the past 20 years, I have taken thousands and thousands of photographs - musicians in concert, backstage, on the road and in the studio. I’m not sure why photography is so important to me. I guess I hate to see great moments in life disappear. And rock & roll has given me most of the great moments of my life. So the best thing I can do is capture rock&roll on film. That’s what I’ve spent my entire working life doing, and I’m grateful to have the ability to share my work with the world.

Kevin Estrada is one of the most sought-after commissioned photographers in the corporate music industry. His photographs have appeared in music magazines such as Spin and Rolling Stone.

1. Which book are you currently reading?
The Alexandria Quartet by Laurence Durrell, the boat I live on is named after a character in this book and Laurence Durrell himself spent time on my boat many years ago before the boat came into my possession

2. Do you smoke?
No but I light fires

3. When was the last time you got angry?
I remain in a regrettably angry state, I do consider however that this is a rational response to where I find my ‘lack of’ self

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
More often my tears turn into laughter, a fine line, the grip of despair seems to find parity in a watershedding hysteria, momentarily presses reset, an orgasm if you can find one is preferable

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
The exception is the one I do see to its end, recently I saw a film called Zina (about Trotsky’s prophetic daughter), featuring a very young Ian McKellen, the actress playing Zina was extraordinary, she continues to haunt me

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
I am played by many and am desperate to find the singular one who knows her own mind, upon which to hang all my accumulated debris

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
No Mans Land

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
‘Crushed’ oh dear, tiny wild flowers by my boat that came up in the last two days, they are not crushed unlike the duckling that got viserally ‘got’ by a heron

9. What's the best moment of your day?
So called depressive tendencies have to admit this question troubles me, I am compelled to continue on, thats the best I can make of it, to ‘work’ when I can muster can be a balm on troubled waters, my boat is beautiful, the elemental ice, coal, wood, water, fire, the emptying of latrines, to be awake at sunrise, to fall asleep from being tired in a proper way

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
I abandon each child at birth and head out to sea, I’m told my progeny rarely make it back to the ocean....but perhaps nature does find a way

Waking.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?

During her 14-year critically acclaimed recordings and collaboration with Swans, Jarboe's voice has been described as acting and also channeling. It can be at turns innocent, knowing, seductive, & vitriolic - contained in melodic as well as experimental compositions.
A primary objective for Jarboe is to close in on the gap in the audience/performer relationship via complete submission and vicarious experience through her performance.

Her work in and outside of the legendary Swans has received international critical attention. A random selection from Jarboe's career post-Swans includes : “Work In Progress” Arts Program rock theatre performances in NYC, Chicago, and Atlanta and the soundtrack for the games “The Path” and “Fatale”.

She has released 20 solo albums in addition to working on 20+ Swans albums and 60+collaborative projects with visual & sound artists all over the world.

Barry Burns of Mogwai

1. Which book are you currently reading?
I'm reading 1982, Janine by Alasdair Gray

2. Do you smoke?
No, not if I can help it. There must be something else.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
I am very frequently angry, so probably today while drilling holes in the wall to put up picture frames and an Austrian cuckoo clock or while trying to work with Apple's Logic computer application. No wait....it was today when Hertz car rental have charged me €135 for returning the car I rented without a full tank.....even though the guy promised he'd just fill it up and not charge me that particular fee. Arseholes.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
I'm very tickly and my wife exploits this often. I think just before last weekend was the last time, but gentle domestic violence will soon put a stop to this unfair practice.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
Ohhhhhh yes. It was Terry Gilliam's grotesquely poor "Tideland" which I think might have stolen first place as the worst film I have ever seen. It was, for a very long time, Van Helsing: (insert forgotten shit subtitle here). I quite like Terry Gilliam usually but that was the biggest load of eye-vomit I've ever seen (a bit of).

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
The dead father who was played by Jeff Bridges.....at least he was lucky to have died fairly early in the film. I was going to write "caution: spoiler" there but if you watch any of that film it spoils your whole week anyway. There's 20 minutes i'll never get back.

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
After quickly "Googling" all three of these things and then realising that the last two are sub-series of the first one. I am going to admit I have never seen Law and Order but Wikipedia has just informed me that it is just about the longest running TV series ever. I have no doubt it is probably the best thing ever, but I live in Germany and I don't get US TV.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
Absolutely no one. Just asked my wife and she says it should be her. It's Rachel Burns.

9. What's the best moment of your day?
That's really funny. When I just read that question I suddenly remembered I'd made a cup of coffee 10 minutes ago and jumped up to go to the kitchen. Just sat back down with it now and it's still drinkable. So I'd say coffee time.....or forgetting but then happily remembering about coffee while doing an email interview.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
Does anyone /not /say, "the very last one we wrote"?

Barry Burns plays guitar, keyboards and flute in Mogwai and also played with Arab Strap, Michael Middleton and De Rosa.

I get angry with myself a lot. Daily.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
I can't remember, I wish I could.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
Many. I walked out of many "critically acclaimed" movies (i.e. "Slumdog Millionaire").

Am I dead yet?

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
Isn't there a verb missing to make this a question?
If I just have to choose some word or character in the preceding line I would go for the ampersand, it always reminded me of a person with a bowl of tea.

I don't want anyone to be crushed by me.

9. What's the best moment of your day?
Answering E-mail requests.

Andrew Belle

1. Which book are you currently reading?
Death By Pad Thai - it's a collection of short stories from various authors, describing their favorite dishes and the first time they ate them. Riveting.

2. Do you smoke?
I do not. An alarming amount of my friends do though.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
Ha, probably last weekend when I was trying to fix my the sink at my family's house when the water line disconnected and sprayed water EVERYWHERE for a good 30 seconds. Total freak out.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
This past Halloween when my buddy put on sunglasses and a blond wig when greeting the kids coming to our house for candy.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
I am confused by your phrasing. If you're asking me what's the worst movie i've ever seen...hm, probably 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist'. We walked out of that one REAL fast. Or maybe 'Land of the Lost'...that movie was just terrible.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Again, confused by this question - I think you're asking what character in any tv show or film would I have like to have played...um, I would have to say 'John Locke' from LOST. I would follow that guy to the ends of the Earth.

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
Haha, I have never seen either of these shows. But I'll choose SVU because abbreviating is cool.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
Wow, you're gonna get me in trouble. Hm, maybe Erin Andrews - the sideline reporter from ESPN. I was on a flight to Baton Rouge with her recently...very nice lady.

9. What's the best moment of your day?
The few minutes in the evening when I get to video chat with my girlfriend in NYC.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
I don't like this question because it sets me up to seem a little arrogant - but I'll say 'The Ladder' from my new record. I think it's my best effort to date.

Andrew recently was named “Best Breakout Artist, Chicago” by MTV. His music and vocal stylings draw comparisons to Coldplay, The Fray, and John Mayer. Fans and critics often refer to his songs as “smart pop”—nuanced melodies and contemplative lyrics coupled with bold, infectious hooks. Look out for his debut full-length album The Ladder, released in January 2010.
