Last week-end. I shared some memorable times with great people and lots of burping, name calling, pranks too.

Hmmm, I had a hard time with the last X-men movie... Kinda lame compared to its predecessors, especially that sequence where bitch girl starts flying all around and dropping bombs. And in general, I'm not a fan at all of gore/horror movies.

Cigarettes...hells no.
Only an occasional cigar and the green stuff.

I have a temper, so something or other gets my blood heated pretty regularly. The last time I expressed anger, though, was a year and a half ago and I punched a wall instead of breaking the dudes face that got on my nerves. I unfortunately broke my hand instead.

A couple weeks ago while reminiscing with my family.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
I'm the type of person that needs to finish a movie no matter how bad it is. That said, I tried to get through "Reefer Madness" a few months ago and although it was funny I got bored with it real fucking fast.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
That's a tough one because there are a few that are equally as strong movie characters for me, but so very different from each other. I would say Rocky Balboa, Han Solo and Chief Brody.

SVU by a landslide. Not even a competition.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
My wife Christy. For girls you see in the movies... Amy Smart and Rachel McAdams are probably the leaders right now.

Waking up in my bed with my wife by my side and my dog by my feet.

I'd say "Eyes of Black" from our upcoming album "Darkness in the Light" or "This Lying World" from "The Oncoming Storm".

The best moment was waking up and seeing the support on my kickstarter pledge drive for an upcoming project I have planned entitled "Severance Songs".

Robert Gomez is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician from Denton, TX recently relocated to the Northwest. Besides writing and performing his own music he has performed both live and on recordings with numerous other artists including Sarah Jaffe, John Grant, Centro-matic, Norah Jones, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, and Tico da Costa/ Phillip Glass.
He has toured extensively throughout Europe and the United States under his own name and has performed the Les Nuits Secretes and La Route du Rock festivals in France, on NPR's World Cafe live with David Dye and in the studio at Day Trotter (daytrotter.com).
Robert's duo with Anna-Lynne Williams (Trespassers William, Lotte Kestner), Ormonde, is releasing their first record, Machine, this late summer (2011) on the Portland-based label, Home-Tapes.
Currently, Robert is on the road touring in Sarah Jaffe's band and recording a new solo record; Severance Songs.

March 26 2011, in Calais, about to cross the English Channel, was woken up at 5:30AM from a deep sleep, on tour with Trans-Siberian Orchestra in Europe, we had to go through Border Control and were beyond slap happy, the slightest thing sent us all into a tizzy and the tears were streaming as the laughter ensued.

The Other Guys - Mark Wahlberg & Will Ferrell....love them both but this film was that bad!

The Seat Of The Soul by Gary Zukav. It's a beautiful book about reincarnation.

Not anymore. I used to smoke but gave it up many years ago because of the voice thing.

I never really get angry. But when people do something to destroy other people's lives for no reason, that makes me angry. One of my closest friends was recently thrown in front of a subway train in New York City. She thankfully survived but there are no words to describe the kind of anger I have towards that.

When I was looking through the new material for the DVD! I saw the most hilarious things. Even rockstars are very human, people getting totally drunk, not knowing what they are saying anymore, people falling flat on their noses. Great moments. All the behinds-the-scenes stuff.

One of the most intense movies was Midnight Express. It's a true story I believe and based on a book of the same name. Basically it's about an American student who was sent to a Turkish prison for trying to smuggle hashish out of the country.

I just finished reading Patti Smith's newest book "Just Kids" which is all about her and Robert Mapplethorp growing up together in New York City during the early punk scene. Its one of the best books I've read in a long time.

Nope. This year will be my tenth year of being Straight Edge.

I'm a pretty posi dude, I honestly have been thinking of this for a while and I can't think of the last time I got angry. I usually just laugh most stuff off. Even last time we got robbed I was still like "Hahaha fuuuuuuck! Why do we have the worst luck haha"

Watching Modern Family that show makes me laugh so god damn hard.

Watching Anti Christ was pretty heavy. I've never turned a movie off or left the theatre or anything, I always want to atleast see the end. That movie gave my boner nightmares.

I'm all about OG Law&Order! That show has been going on forever and its always good! Dick Wolf knew what he was doing with that one. None of that CSI bull shit doing science in the dark. Just straight up solving crimes!

Lately for the last 4 years I've been crushing pretty hard on my girlfriend. She just got her hair did with some sexy bangs. I was all "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn you lookin good!"

I love playing shows and I'm sure every band doing this will say the same thing. That 45 mins or whatever on stage is the best part of my day by far. You don't have to worry about anything just headbang and have an awesome time!

I think Lucifer's Rocking Chair is one of the best songs we've written. I'm always so stoked to play and it seems like all across the board, punk metal or hardcore everyone can get down to that jam. Even my grandma likes it!

The movie "Wanted" was outstanding. I loved it up until the very end. The last line spoken in the movie was "What the fuck have you done today?"...once I heard that I instantly hated the entire movie. That single line turned it into Vin Diesel shitfest.

In Wanted? Probably whichever character was with Angelina Jolie. That'd work for me JUST fine.

I tour manage bands for a living and I got angry recently on Dead Meadows Australian tour because the rental car company stuffed up my booking and send my van to a different location, we had to wait around at the airport tired and frustrated for 45 minutes for them to retrieve it. That kind of sucked.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
On tour recently with Dead Meadow, hands down the funniest and most enjoyable band to tour. Steve Kille their bassist is a bloody comedian.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its the end?
Back to the Future, all three films. Best trilogy ever! Star Wars comes in at a close second, then Indiana Jones. Three killer trilogy's.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Michael J Fox in Back to the Future, best trilogy ever! I want to go back to the 60's and see the Velvet Underground, John Coltrane Sun Ra and Syd Barett era Pink Floyd, I also want to buy a few vintage Mosrites Ventures, Fender Jazzmasters and a couple of Orange OR120 amps.

A few days ago. I went on tour in April and May and had a subletter who would not return calls or pay me for about a month after getting back. Finally got her to start paying me in installments. Now she's claiming she slipped the final $200 in cash under my door which I never received and most likely never happened. I'm usually pretty trusting, so this is particularly irksome. So I found out she is going out of town and is now trying to sublet her place! Scheming some ideas for revenge.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
This has never happened as far as I'm aware. My humor is dry.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see untill its the end?
Don't think I've ever walked out of the theater, but there are many movies I've fallen asleep during. My fault mostly, not theirs.

Voice over for Garfield.

I don't get angry very often at all but I did become quite agitated a while ago when I went to hop onto my bike to go wherever the shit I was going to find that someone had beat the shit out of my front wheel. The rim was bent to shit and was completely unrideable. Parking your bike outside a high school in Brooklyn is always a bad idea so it was partially my fault but those mother fuckers better learn some god damn manners. Shit heads. I've moved since.

I'm not sure I know what this question is asking so I will try to answer as best I can. So umm when I was maybe 5 I had a really bad ear infections which I used to get often. My mom had scored a bootleg copy of ET on VHS! When I woke up screaming and crying, mainly because I ran out of beer, my mom threw on that movie. It was staticy and you could barely see anything. I screamed through the entire movie, until the very end when my brain stopped feeling like it was exploding. That's my story. I guess the question has been answered?

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Not sure if this question is referring to the previous or just a character in general. If the previous ET obviously. You can fly and do weird shit, although it might have been a bit hard getting laid but I bet that glowing finger can do wonders for the ladies. If any movie character the obvious answer is “The Dude” but to be different I would say Baron Munchausen from The Adventures of Baron Muchausen. He rides a canon ball, goes to hell, visits the moon, gets eaten by a fish and survives it all. Terry Gilliam is a genius!

Avatar... I did actually make it through the whole thing but I wouldn't EVER sit through it again. No fucking way. James Cameron should have his fucking head examined. For a movie that blew what was it, 200 million to make, it seemed like they spent about a buck seventy five for writers. What a pant load... A pant load of heavy handed, mega PC, teenage political horse shit. By the half way point I would have helped the miners destroy the "injins" magic tree myself! Don't get me wrong, I LIKE science fiction movies but I couldn't stand this. I heard it described as every preachy, stomach turning, "eco" bumper sticker you've ever seen made into a movie. Knowing how the stupid, self serving "powers that be" think, James Cameron will probably end up getting a Nobel Prize for this fucking dog shit... Which was probably his point to begin with.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Fred C. Dobbs in "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre." This is by far the best movie ever made. I could watch it over and over and I have. At least 80 to 100 times easy. I can pretty much recite the whole script at this point.

Don't watch TV. Haven't for well over 20 years. Haven't missed it either.

I am reading two. One on Vietnam and the other on Jack The Ripper. But its taking me ages to get through them because I am easily distracted. Small brain I think.

Oh it was a while a go but one that springs to mind is the scene in the film Step Brothers where the bunk beds collapse. That got me. Was in tears.

This film called Covenant. No story line and had to switch it off after 45 mins. I wasted 45 mins of my life trying to work out what was going on, if anything. Twillight is also close... biggest pile of crappy toss vampire puke ever! Ha ha... sorry... :(

Poison Ivy in Batman :)

Walker Percy's "Love in the Ruins" and Malcolm Gladwell's "Blink". I like flip-flop reading fiction and non-fiction in parallel.

I was on a vacation cruise watching a Vegas-type entertainment show. It was the funniest thing I had ever seen, I am laughing right now as I type this!

District 9. I hated it. It is the only movie I have ever walked out on in a theatre.

I abandon each child at birth and head out to sea, I’m told my progeny rarely make it back to the ocean....but perhaps nature does find a way

No, but I wouldn't touch that Mariah Carey vehicle "Glitter" with a stick; so while I haven't seen it and don’t intend to ever do so I guess it still qualifies, doesn't it?

Maybe Lucian in "Underworld", despite the fact I unfortunately would not get to make out with Kate Beckinsale. Maybe Judas or Mr. Blonde or any badass movie villain for that matter.

No, not if I can help it. There must be something else.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
I am very frequently angry, so probably today while drilling holes in the wall to put up picture frames and an Austrian cuckoo clock or while trying to work with Apple's Logic computer application. No wait....it was today when Hertz car rental have charged me €135 for returning the car I rented without a full tank.....even though the guy promised he'd just fill it up and not charge me that particular fee. Arseholes.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
I'm very tickly and my wife exploits this often. I think just before last weekend was the last time, but gentle domestic violence will soon put a stop to this unfair practice.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
Ohhhhhh yes. It was Terry Gilliam's grotesquely poor "Tideland" which I think might have stolen first place as the worst film I have ever seen. It was, for a very long time, Van Helsing: (insert forgotten shit subtitle here). I quite like Terry Gilliam usually but that was the biggest load of eye-vomit I've ever seen (a bit of).

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
The dead father who was played by Jeff Bridges.....at least he was lucky to have died fairly early in the film. I was going to write "caution: spoiler" there but if you watch any of that film it spoils your whole week anyway. There's 20 minutes i'll never get back.

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
After quickly "Googling" all three of these things and then realising that the last two are sub-series of the first one. I am going to admit I have never seen Law and Order but Wikipedia has just informed me that it is just about the longest running TV series ever. I have no doubt it is probably the best thing ever, but I live in Germany and I don't get US TV.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
Absolutely no one. Just asked my wife and she says it should be her. It's Rachel Burns.

9. What's the best moment of your day?
That's really funny. When I just read that question I suddenly remembered I'd made a cup of coffee 10 minutes ago and jumped up to go to the kitchen. Just sat back down with it now and it's still drinkable. So I'd say coffee time.....or forgetting but then happily remembering about coffee while doing an email interview.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?

Death By Pad Thai - it's a collection of short stories from various authors, describing their favorite dishes and the first time they ate them. Riveting.

Ha, probably last weekend when I was trying to fix my the sink at my family's house when the water line disconnected and sprayed water EVERYWHERE for a good 30 seconds. Total freak out.

This past Halloween when my buddy put on sunglasses and a blond wig when greeting the kids coming to our house for candy.

I am confused by your phrasing. If you're asking me what's the worst movie i've ever seen...hm, probably 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist'. We walked out of that one REAL fast. Or maybe 'Land of the Lost'...that movie was just terrible.

Again, confused by this question - I think you're asking what character in any tv show or film would I have like to have played...um, I would have to say 'John Locke' from LOST. I would follow that guy to the ends of the Earth.

Ah, just finished reading Blood Meridian by Cormac MacCarthy. One of the best books I've ever probably.

8-10 am, everything is calm, the sun still doesn't scorch, it's all quiet...then the day starts and we must be productive. Time to go back to sleep.

I’m reading Proust’s "Swann’s Way", Ursula Le Guin’s "The Other Wind" and with my third eyeball I am reading "Musicophilia" by Oliver Sacks.

Usually my cooking ends up smoked, but it’s not always on purpose.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
I was mad at someone today for leaving a relationship at a really wrong time and with no consideration for the children involved.

I can’t remember. Oh dear... Yesterday I was so happy that I cried but I did not laugh.

I usually love sci-fi fantasy films but earlier this week we were watching "The Snow Queen" and it was so horrible that we stopped watching it after about 15 minutes.

Grandaughter of an Epiphone-playin-travelin-evangelist, fathered by a National Accordion Champion & mothered by a pianist, Shara Worden was born into a house of diverse musical aesthetics. Her first song was written at age 3 using the buttons of a toy cash register for "piano keys." By age 8 she was studying piano with her uncle, Donald Ryan, and singing in community musical productions.
Shara graduated from The University of North Texas with a BA in Vocal Performance. After university, she self-released a solo album entitled Word, then moving to Brooklyn, NY recorded two albums (The Orange Album, Quiet B Sides) with her band Awry. From 2001-2003 Shara studied composition with Australian composer/performer Padma Newsome (The Clogs, The National). During this time she composed music for a musical theater production Women With Voices Ringing (produced by Jaki Brown-Karmen), an off-broadway production of Adam Rapp's play Trueblinka directed by Simon Hammerstein, as well as Hammerstein's production of Jean Paul Sartre Morts sans Sepulture.
In late 2003 Shara assembled her dream cast of characters to create the sound of My Brightest Diamond. My Brightest Diamond has released two albums, Bring Me The Workhorse (2006) and A Thousand Shark's Teeth (2008).
Shara has collaborated with David Byrne, The Decemberists, Sufjan Stevens, Laurie Anderson, Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Bryce & Aaron Dessner.
In 2009 Shara moved to Detroit, Michigan to live in a creaky old house and tend bees.

When a person I've known in the music business for many years asked me to be part of a collaboration and then turned out to be totally unreliable.

When my sister told me about a conversation she had had with our mother. It went like this: our almost 80 year old mother, and quite a lovely lady at that, said she was looking for a new wrinkle cream and my sister said she knew of one called "acceptance" (meaning, just accept the damn wrinkles at this point) and our mother replied "oh really? I've never heard of it, where can I buy it?" Vanity is last to die!

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
Apocalypto, far too violent and gory for my taste.

10. What song and what drawing of yours do you think are your best?
I am particularly fond of the title song "Around the Edges" of our soon to be released album of my new group Kalweit and the Spokes, with drummer Leziero Rescigno and guitarist Giovanni Calella. The lyrics trace the story of how I feel after almost 20 years of living in Italy, yet still feeling part of my native land, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As for the drawing I like best: Granbar. This painting expresses the solitude of the lonely traveller in a bar that once existed in the Milan Central Station which has disappeared, like so many characteristic places in light of globalization...

Visual artist and vocalist Georgeanne Kalweit was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1964 and currently resides in northern Italy. Georgeanne first moved to Italy in 1986 to study Art History in Florence. In 1990 she graduated from the University of Minnesota in Painting, Print-making and Art History. From 1997-2000 she worked as art instructor at the Los Angeles County Museum, the Barnsdall Art Park and for the Los Angeles Unified Schools. Georgeanne paints figurative oil paintings as well as mixed media pieces created out of recycled images and objects, multi-layered compositions of a social-political nature which are full of extremely colorful details with a slight Central American Art Influence, a mix between Pop and Psychedelia, ironic and playful at the same time. She has exhibited in Florence, Milan, Mantova, Parma, Lodi, Stresa and Verbania, Italy, London, Los Angeles and Minneapolis.

There are a lot of movies where even the trailers are unbearable, so I avoid them, and re-watch my favorites over and over.

Alice in Wonderland or Lili (Leslie Caron) I always talk to rabbits and puppets anyway so these seem like a good fit.

Every day seems to have different amazing moments. So far today’s best moment is seeing my dog who’s supposed to be quite ill, act as if he will live forever by playing like a puppy... this has me very happy today!

Oh, I can’t pick. I love them all the same. I can tell you which doll is the happiest.. Azaeleah, she has no idea anything other than sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows exist. She’s got the right idea!

Dreamwatcher by Theodore Roszak. He's the author of one of my favourite books, Flicker. Also just started reading Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond, and will soon read The Swarm by Frank Schätzing.

I was very angry ten minutes ago. Besides from then, never.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
OK, this wasn't the last time, but it's the most interesting time: I was playing basketball with a friend. Suddenly I hear a strange whizzing-sound and a black cat crashes down on my friends head, falling from the fifth floor. The cat lies dead on the ground, and miraculously, my friend is alright. He stares at the cat, and then at me and exclaims: "I just got a cat in the head". There's a short pause, then we both fall down on the ground laughing, probably releasing a lot of tension from the shock (I would never laugh at a thing like that normally, I had a cat of my own at the time). At that moment, the owner of the cat looked out of her window to see her dead cat, and my friend and I laughing until we cried.
This happened where I grew up, a building that was later renowned for its many cat suicides.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
Quite a lot of movies actually. Among them was Pasolini's Oedipus. The screeching solo flute soundtrack was driving me crazy.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now. Or Colonel Sandurz in Spaceballs.

Those are shows right? I'm more in to ol' school Sopranos and True Blood.

That would have to be my girlfriend Stine, who's the funniest person I know.

There's so little routine in my days that it's hard to talk about a favourite part. I like watching a good movie after doing my writing. When I feel like I've earned the right. If I don't feel I've earned the right, I watch a bad movie.

I guess it would have to be my recent music vid 'Swim' for Oh No Ono. I'm constantly seeking a balance in my filmmaking, between seriousness and a grotesque form of comedy, and that video is the closest I've gotten. So far.

In my ideal world, I would have a full day each week to just lay around and read, because I do love it so. I started "Step, Ball, Change" by Jeanne Ray a few weeks ago, but got so busy it wound up abandoned after chapter two.

2. Do you smoke?
No.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
Probably when someone showed up at my home without calling first. That’s one of my biggest pet peeves. I joke that one day, I will own a house with a moat. (Not anti-company, necessarily, just pro-appointment.)

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
I didn’t cry, but I almost wet my pants, does that count? My sister and I tried to make an America’s Funniest Home video moment by calling my brother-in-law at work and telling him we were going to run errands, moving our cars from their parking spaces, and then hiding in the house (specifically the shower in the upstairs bathroom) to make strange noises and scare him when he came home for lunch. While we planned the stunt, and then when he came in non-chalantly whistling, we laughed like hyenas – I’m surprised no ribs were broken in the process.
(For the record, we made strange noises for about ten minutes – only getting a not-really-interested “hey, what’s going on up there?” from him before I got paranoid that he’d called the cops or was about to attack us with a baseball bat and we came out from hiding and went downstairs... to find him calmly eating a sandwich, unbothered and unconcerned.)

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
Not a movie, but the short summer CBS murder mystery series’ Harper’s Island – on one hand, I couldn’t wait to the end because I was just dying (pun not intended) to know who the killer was, but on the other hand, I didn’t want it to end and didn’t want to know who the killer was, because I was so invested in all of the characters (who were still alive) by that point and didn't want any of them to be the killer. It was a great, underrated (though gory) show.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
One of the Golden Girls. They’re all awesome in their own way, so I couldn’t choose: Any of them. (Though I am probably most like Dorothy.)

7. "Law & Order", "Special Victim Unit" or "Criminal Intent"?
I’ve actually never seen any of these – am actually usually more of a medical drama girl.

8. Who do you currently have a crush on?
Adam Lambert and David Cook. I wanted to just name one, but choosing between them would be like choosing between pizza and chocolate. 9 times out of 10, given that choice, I’d say chocolate. But then I’d miss the pizza terribly and crave it all the time. (And, no, I’m not saying which is which, though I will admit I didn’t really pay much attention to David – despite my best friend being his biggest fan – until he joined Twitter. The way to my crushlist, apparently, is by being witty and using proper grammar and punctuation, even when limited to 140 characters!)

9. What's the best moment of your day?
When my sister, who lives several hours away from me calls & my 4 year old niece gets on the phone first hears my voice (or when I visit and she first lays eyes on me) and shouts, all excited, “KAAAATHY!!!!” It doesn’t happen everyday, but that’s my favorite moment of any day. You have no idea how important and loved that reaction makes me feel!

10. What painting of yours do you think is your best?
Well, I truly believe practice makes perfect and that with every painting, I get a little bit better --- looking back at some of my early stuff just makes me cringe now! So, though I could probably pick a personal favorite, I HOPE that my best so far is the last one I painted. Right now, that one would be “Family Portrait”, which is of my version of Frankenstein, his bride, and mummy baby.

Kathy R. Jeffords grew up wanting to be a novelist, majored in theatre in college, and somehow wound up being an artist. She paints bright and whimsical paintings of big-eyed girls (and occasionally boys and critters) but couldn’t abandon her love of stringing words together altogether --- most of her work has a story to go along it or incorporates quotes or phrases within the actual piece.

In Singapore when we were in the elevator with an elderly woman and as soon as the doors opened a very rude man walked right in and bumped into her without even apologizing as she was trying to get out. I was so angry, no manners, no common decency, I was so angry that its a good thing my brother in law was there to yell at him or else I would have.

"UP"! I couldn't contain myself, the stork short was the funniest thing I've seen since Big Man Japan!

It toke all my will power to stay and watch the full movie "Amistad", it was such a brutal view of the worst of humanity, I had a hard time watching through all my tears.

Wants to be noisy, dissonant, atonal, discordant and mocking at the melody, but at the same time melodious, tonal, harmonious when required.
Viti di Titanio (Titanium screws) combine Anglo-Saxon origin sonority with the musicality and the auteur song based on Italian and Mediterranean tradition. The arrangements are notable for the deconstruction of the guitar playing, the experimentation and the noise, but the band also give space to the song in its classic manner and compose melodious vocal structures that successfully convey the messages of the musical compositions. The accurate and poetic wording of the lyrics, makes the songs hermetic, but the directness of the refrains soften the inscrutability.

"The Brain That Changes Itself" - although to tell the truth, I'm definitely more a picture book person! I find the act of reading quite tiring (and personally) a little tedious for me, as I have a tendancy to try and over imagine everything ... every description & detail ... so I find myself reading the same pages over and over - which makes me impatient and exhausted. I guess to enjoy the act of reading, my brain has to change itself. That said, I LOVE looking through Art books and right now it's "Dali : Liquid Desire" - to me a painting / picture does speak a thousand words and inspires a thousand more ideas, which I can create the my own details for.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
Earlier today... but Being a half-Japanese, compulsive Capricorn head-case, I actually believe it's the angst which holds me together.

Watching a crazy You Tube post titled 'The dramatic Lemur Original'... mind you, I did have few drinks prior to, and it was a friends fit of giggles which became contagious to those around at the time, beers in hand.

5. Was there a movie that you could not bear to see until its end?
The Exorcist - a vehicle for a perpetual state of fear & anxiety. In fact if memory serves, I don't think I even came close to the ending as I couldn't even bear the beginning. My memories of that film are totally disjointed and blurry as it became a film watched through clasped hands and fingers.

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
'Alice' in Wonderland, 'Chihiro' in Spirited Away -or- Captain Nemo to see the bottom of the ocean, and that Giant Squid!

Same, same BUT different ... (The Family Guy versions are quite witty).

The work of Salvador Dali, I just arrived back from Melbourne after seeing the exhibition there at the National Gallery of Victoria - and it blew my mind! Even though I have always been a great fan / admirer of his work for as long as I can remember... to go and see it in person, from his small early sketches, to his famous painted canvases & sculptures, films and jewelry ... it fires up the passion, imagination and love of his works.

9. What's the best moment of your day?
When my flat white coffee is ready, I have a blank piece of paper in front of me, a window of time and a semi-sharpened pencil :)

10. What painting of yours do you think is your best?
I don't really have a favourite to be honest - as creating Art allows me a creative outlet for expressing my thoughts and feelings. That said, some pieces inparticular I feel pretty attached to is 'Cable Cranes' and 'Tsuru'... I created them at a difficult time in my life, after my father passed away - so they embody a lot of feelings and memories. Works of mine which contain Origami cranes in them, for me has personal significance as they remind me of dad... so I guess it's just my small way of keeping his memory alive and well, and hopefully he would dig it.

I can't rightfully remember, perhaps a year ago when I threw a dozen donuts at a dozen cops here in NYC, I've been trying to be the patient grass-hopper, but I was really drunk on that one & they were messing with our free-speech by trying to set up legal precedents that would have had out-door political events at a decibel level too quiet to be heard over the cities ambient noise (ie: traffic, more than 25 people having a hushed conversation). It was being set at the level of a vacuum cleaner at 75 feet away (& out-doors).

Yesterday, mi amiga Vaquita always makes me laugh heartily...

Only because most films are terribly formulaic & dull. I usually walk out after 15-20 minutes of a bad film though, you can usually tell what you're in for by then.

1. Which book are you currently reading?
It's more like book(s). I'm in school to become a Certified Massage Therapist so Thibodeau & Patton's "Structure & Function of the Body" is in there. Because I'm launching a new concurrent career outside of music with the final certification of my CMT program I'm hoping not to make the same business-minded mistakes I made as a musician by reading books by Larry Winget and Brian Tracy. For the Zen I'm rereading Chogyam Trungpa's "Training The Mind and Cultivating Loving Kindness". Kicks my ass every time. And just to keep a certain level of intensity handy if and when I need it, Henry Rollins' new book "A Preferred Blur". I've read all of his books. Once a punk, always a punk but mostly treating the Henry's written word as yardsticks for personal development and determination beyond the average.

2. Do you smoke?
I was a bit of a cigar aficionado up until my 43 birthday this year. Seeing as how I'm in a quasi-medical/health-related field I figured it was pretty hypocritical to be downing them as I was on long rides to weekend gigs so...that was that. Plus Larry Winget's direct and abrasive opinions on smoking, health in general and the wake of stupidity people roll around in had a strong arm effect that was unavoidable incentive to quit. SMOKING KILLS PEOPLE. It's that simple. I'm also looking at what the physiology of oxygen intake into the bloodstream looks like on a molecular level in school, let alone what the tissues of the mouth and throat go through with even 100% natural, non-man made leaves. Tobacco carcinogens get in your body in a severely ugly way. Seriously.

3. When was the last time you got angry?
And lost it? I don't need to air my dirty laundry because I always contribute something to whatever happened in some way however small (the cause of what generates said anger). You punk yourself when you lose your s**t. "He who curbs his anger is a true charioteer. Others merely hold the reigns" - Buddhist Proverb. These days I get angry at myself for having angry thoughts. I try to meditate on the side of right and do whatever is necessary with my resting heart rate in tact. That way I keep myself and others from harm's way and make the Gods smile. I laugh pretty hard too if only knowing that calm, cool and collected trips people up alot more that boiling like a kettle or jackknifing like an 18 wheeler.

4. When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
Remember that old country song by Connie Smith? "Once a day, every day, all day long..." That will change shortly though. In due time, in due process.

5. Was there a movie where you could not bear to see the end?
I know it's been awhile but had I have known that "Leaving Las Vegas" was going to be the bummer it was I'm not sure I would have paid the admission. Profound film but the stain it left on my psyche for weeks after caught me off guard. Please don't tell me you thought I'd say "Titanic"!

6. What character would you have liked to have played?
In what? "Leaving Las Vegas"? Nothing vicarious I could glean from that but I would love to have been Forest Whitaker in "Ghost Dog". That would have been some good Jungian shadow play. It'd be cool to be in Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriquez film. Something Sam Shepard wrote...

Not a TV guy at all but I have watched an episode or 3 of "Law & Order" at my parent's house while visiting in WV just because it was20on and I was flipping through accumulated periodicals.

My daughter. She's my hero. Having a daughter gives you someone to take care of and love in the truest sense.

9. What's the best moment of your day?
There are two specific ones that come to mind. One in the morning and one in the evening. Reading to my daughter every night that my schedule allows and the kiss from her in the morning that wakes me up. In a global way the whole day is pretty awesome. I'm either learning or applying things with better skill. I like my grey and am blazing to an apex that is still years away. It's something to look forward to.

10. What song of yours do you think is your best?
As a solo artist it'd be tough because the music is so eclectic. For now I'd say "She Still Sleeps Here" off of my 2007 CD, "Dos". It gets to the heart of a my writing style with elements of shadow and light...drop-tuned bombast and aching, lapsteel melodies. Regarding the new Alternative Tentacles reissue of th' Inbred it'd be tough picking "The One" because you have to consider the humor or the hostility. There are shining moments of both. Humor? "The Positive Song". Hostility? "Piss Test".

Billy Atwell blasted away in various rock outfits (th' Inbred/Rhythm Pigs). He has also explored musical venues for the stage, from Shakespeare to New York revivals of the musicals HAIR (1998) and GODSPELL (2000) with significant side trips into the eclectic and avant-garde.
Currently, Atwell is seeking to expand his presence into the venue of “filmic sound-scapes”. These mediums include art installations, actual movies, video game scores, and more projects as inventive as SAFFRON.

Yeah I have a theory about that - If I'm always angry then I can't "get angry" since I was angry to begin with - it's like self immunization...

My band is pretty much comedy central on wheels... they are always up to something retarded - so it happens on the daily bases. Just the other day we were reading the Video treatments various directors submitted for our new single - and one of them started with "The lead singer gets hit with a shovel and falls in an open grave" - all of us jumped up - f**k yeah! this is the one!!! haha... we didn't even read the rest of it... and actually that's the video that got made...

5. Was there a movie where you could not bear to see the end?
It's pretty common that I walk out of movie theaters or stop a DVDs half way through... I'm generally really busy so if a movie gets stupid I can't stand the idea that I'm wasting my time on somebody's brainfart... every minute that passed is gone you never get it back...

Optimus Prime, Marcus Aurelius Maximus, Mad Max rolled into one "Mad Maximus Prime" - anything with pedal to the friggin metal works for me...

My new BC Rich signature guitar... She's hot! Of course when the band hits stage there's no 'high' like that - it's like a swat team in action... a big nasty warmachine laying down fire and launching rockets...

Unfaaaaair... It's like picking which one is your favorite kid... I think Dying Breed, Hard To See, Salvation are pretty solid tracks...
